LANDSCAPING
The gardens are a significant part of the atmosphere of the hotel.
In 1987, ICI sold off parts of the ground to fund the building of extensions such as the London Room and the Pool Room. Both Paget Place and Watergardens were originally part of the Warren House land.
Our heritage consultants examined the best location for an extension and believed that the area known as the Kitchen garden was a secondary area of the estate that was underutilised and no longer functioned in that way. This was also the site of extensive greenhouses that were historically used by Veitch & Co, a leading Victorian seed grower who scoured the world for new plants that could be grown at Warren House.
