ACCESS AND PARKING

The proposed scheme introduces a new site entrance at the western end of the site from Warren Road and a more formal arrangement of parking.

The new entrance allows for the site to have a one-way circuit, allowing road widths to be reduced. A new driveway approach from the new entrance provides a strong axis approach to the main entrance. A new hard landscaped arrival square is situated at the end of the approach driveway.

We are proposing that vehicles leaving the site will be expected to observe a right turn only. This will mean traffic exiting onto Kingston Hill and not using Warren Road.

Access

Parking is located in the same location as the existing, but is laid out to meet modern standards. It is broken down into small pockets of spaces, screened by evergreen 1.4m high hedging such as Laurel and Yew. Surface finishes will be permeable and semi-formal, utilising Breedon gravel, setts, and conservation granite kerbs. It provides 52 spaces, 10% of which will be disabled spaces. New secure cycle parking will be provided on site for 36 spaces in 2 locations. Refuse spaces are relocated remotely away from the main building and guest entrances.
